Website use and content

1.1 The Lantern & Lore website is provided for personal, lawful and respectful use. You must not use it in a way that interferes with its operation, attempts to gain improper access, introduces harmful material or creates a false impression that you are connected with Lantern & Lore when you are not. Information on the website is intended to help visitors explore the restaurant and its experiences, but may change. Where a detail matters to your visit, please confirm it with the venue through the relevant available process.

1.2 Content and brand materials presented on this website, including written material, design, imagery and identifiers, must not be copied, reproduced, adapted or used beyond what applicable law permits or Lantern & Lore has given written permission for. Please do not use website content to misrepresent an offering, promote an unrelated activity or suggest an endorsement that has not been provided.

  • Do not misuse the website or seek to disrupt access for other visitors.
  • Do not misrepresent your affiliation with Lantern & Lore or another guest, organiser or venue activity.
  • Do not use content or brand materials in a manner that is not permitted by law or written permission.

These terms relate to website use, reservations, attendance and applicable experiences at Lantern & Lore. Additional booking, event or venue-specific information may apply where it is provided to you for a particular visit or arrangement.

02

Reservations and dining requests

2.1 Lantern & Lore offers contemporary Australian cuisine, handcrafted cocktails, local wines and shared dining. When you make a reservation or dining enquiry, please provide accurate and current information relevant to the request. A reservation request is not confirmed simply because it has been submitted; it becomes confirmed only when the venue provides confirmation through its applicable process. Any details supplied during that process form part of the practical information for your visit.

2.2 Menus, dishes, beverages, dining arrangements and availability may change. Requests for a particular item, experience or arrangement should therefore be treated as subject to the information confirmed for your booking or supplied by the venue. If you have a relevant dining need or a question about your arrangement, please raise it through the available reservation or enquiry process so it can be considered in context.

Confirmation
The applicable confirmation provided by Lantern & Lore for the requested arrangement.

2.3 Guests are asked to communicate relevant booking needs through the applicable process and to follow reasonable venue directions designed to support a welcoming dining environment. Service may also be subject to responsible hospitality requirements where applicable. These terms do not replace any visit-specific information that is provided when a reservation or dining arrangement is confirmed.

03

Events and private functions

3.1 Attendance at an event or a private function is subject to the information communicated for that particular occasion. Guests and organisers should review applicable event or function information before confirming attendance. Arrangements may depend on venue confirmation and the details supplied for the relevant booking or enquiry. Organisers should take reasonable care to ensure that information they provide about their group is accurate and suitable for the arrangement they are seeking.

Events

For a general event, attendees should read the occasion-specific information that is made available and follow reasonable directions given at the venue. Descriptions of an event are to be understood alongside the relevant confirmed arrangement and venue operations.

Private functions

For a private function, organisers should review the details supplied for their arrangement and communicate relevant agreed information to their guests. Attendance remains subject to reasonable venue directions and the information provided for that function.

3.2 Organisers are responsible for communicating relevant agreed arrangements to their guests. All attendees are expected to treat staff, other guests and the venue respectfully, and to follow reasonable directions intended to support a safe and welcoming experience. If an organiser needs to raise a change, it should be raised through the applicable booking or enquiry process as early as practicable; raising a request does not promise a particular outcome.

  • Check the information provided for the particular event or function before attending.
  • Share relevant agreed arrangements with guests in your group.
  • Raise changes through the applicable booking or enquiry process as early as practicable.

Participation notice

Offline Poker participation and conduct

Offline Poker at Lantern & Lore is in-person, cash-free entertainment using playing chips only, without wagering or cash prizes.

4.1 Lantern & Lore provides premium in-person Offline Poker experiences as a social hospitality activity. Playing chips are used during social games only. Participation is for social entertainment within the venue experience and is not a source of income. Relevant arrangements may occur around Poker Tables and in spaces described, where offered, as the Card Lounge, Card Room, Poker Lounge or Private Poker Room. Offline Poker Nights, Live Poker Evenings and a Poker Dining Experience remain part of an in-person restaurant setting.

4.2 Participants in Social Poker and related experiences must treat other participants, staff and venue property respectfully. Guests must follow reasonable facilitator or venue directions relating to the social experience. Participation may be declined or ended where conduct is unsafe, disruptive, unlawful or inconsistent with these terms. A Poker Dining Experience also remains subject to the restaurant and venue expectations that apply to attendance, dining and respectful shared use of the space.

  • Keep the experience social, in person and respectful of everyone at the table.
  • Use playing chips only and do not treat participation as a source of income.
  • Follow reasonable directions that support the venue and the shared experience.

Descriptions of Offline Poker Nights, Live Poker Evenings, Poker Tables and venue spaces are subject to the relevant confirmed arrangement and venue operations. A Card Lounge, Card Room, Poker Lounge or Private Poker Room description does not promise access to a particular space or arrangement. Please review the applicable booking or event information supplied for your visit.

05

Responsibility and liability

5.1 When using the website or attending Lantern & Lore, you are responsible for your own personal decisions and for taking reasonable care of your belongings. Attendance and participation should be approached responsibly and in accordance with reasonable venue directions. This is a practical hospitality setting, and visitors are asked to be mindful of other guests, staff and the shared spaces in which dining, events and social activities take place.

5.2 Lantern & Lore does not seek to exclude rights that cannot lawfully be excluded. Subject to applicable law, these terms are intended to describe reasonable expectations for using the website and attending the venue, rather than to make promises about every possible circumstance. Information connected with a reservation, event, function or experience should be read with the specific details supplied for that arrangement.

If third-party material or links are provided through the website, they may be offered for convenience. You should review any relevant external terms before using a third-party service or material. Lantern & Lore does not make an unqualified statement about external material, and visitors should make their own careful assessment of information outside this website.
